I'm Michelle Angelo performance line and as anyone who lives in the nose. Management does not my strong should hopefully help you with us. But with the help of a calculated. And a whole lot of estimating. I believe we have done right around 141000. Hours of Mike and Mike. Going back to January of 2000 we have got four left to do when we will make them count lots of memories lots of things today but also. Plenty of sports to get into as two teams. Flash championship looks last night the Steelers and the Celtics a good night should be a good morning how are they fell all Euro or British says that the math I've said we got about 4000 shows together. Now so I usual here's what I'd get a REIT had a calculus I someone's gotta I gotta I gotta go ahead I estimated 1818. Times for. Times 200 we do roughly probably don't roughly 200 shows a year together I did two point refuted 200 applicants that I think that's true. We were joking that we should have opened up the show this morning with the head man in blogger sitting on these chairs. Because lord knows we don't do all too corny together now. I'm from got to 141004. Correct OK so I estimated to be about I want I want to towards one last time I got the math close to right but one way or another we've got a lot to do today we got a lot of fun that to be had been got a lot of people to say thank you to we will certainly do that a lot of nice things are being said about us which. We're not always accustomed to resort very players. I try and get right to the bad stuff that speaks out about who makes you feel more home yeah quite honestly like I'm in my home. But yeah you're right sports is going on and what's happening on the field and on the court. Been pretty darn interesting especially with the Boston Celtics. Gordon Hayward goes down there aren't twenty million dollar man teamed up with carrier ring in game one than you think okay. Well there are they're gonna wait here until they do anything and they are absolutely on fire Jaco. My thinking guy who's not only is he the coach of the year in the NBA to this point but he's the coach of the year in sports and he's as good a coach as there is who got a lot to do what we start with that at all. My right. The Celtics were down seventeen. At a home last night to the warriors. Came back and won they won fourteen straight yet they have been a lot being made of especially gas -- I'm great about the free throw stuff. The Boston Celtics got the line 38 times out 38 times. And the warriors got that are free throw line nineteen times. It was a tire carrier ring he was the one who outscored the warriors in the last five minutes of the game himself. Eleven to ten and in this one I said no Jalen brown who's just as young phenom he led the way were 22 points. But unfortunately he had his best friend passed with almost didn't play in the game. Yesterday but ended up playing and played very well as a team did dep Cory meanwhile held under ten points for the first time in an awful long time. And who is loving this more than carrier all without a doubt again without a doubt that the proof will be in the putting and the putting doesn't come till may. But for this moment he's look at all legal and but the cavaliers struggling and his team winning fourteen straight itself Kurz ask that that game he thinks they're gonna be back here in Boston for the championship out and and his his response was. I heard the weather's nice there and under are nice and Julie had to run a play confidence to our. The rockets scored nineteen points last night. In the first half in the first again now makes unbelievable thirteen who shot clock care that started 54. To score at least nine point two the first half of the game they score more points in the first half. And 39 teams did in the entire game including. Warriors who just scored 88 Harden had I 900 points in this game or. 46 I believe is the correct number Chris Paul came back and just one or managers back from that Bruce side that he had in eleven points and ten assists. In just one turnover in those two point one minutes James Harden I'm sorry at 48 point yet sorted them. To and I shouldn't do that he was sensational last night again ninety points in the first half. Got a MVP voting in the National League it was as close as it has been in decades. But John Carlos patent is your National League MVP. And in the American League Joey vital edges out error in judgment everybody cheers me. A veiled calls out to enjoy Nevada got edged up by stand by our children may 28 points Gasol start with Stanton again. The joy of out of by two points third closest margin. And MVP balloting and the fourth courses MVP race overall Stanton you know had those numbers had all the big numbers with obviously the home runs. And dollar extra base hits and and those kind of about. Did the news now it's been interesting with him. Is what's going on with with the Marlins is you know he could be on the trade blocker or they're gonna listen to teams talking about. Taking on that massive contract with the Marlins trying to revamp and it won't do it with the National League MVP yet pretty wild situation and and Al to based high eight. With a Bobby she Nantz and Phil or zero. As shortest MVP at five foot six and one of the great tembo stats and Campbell will be so missed on the show. That all of those L two days five foot six your MVP. Do Little League World Series was played just not too long ago yes there are seventy little league world players that are taller than 56. Sorry. I was about to say in almost none of them covered baseball for our network actually I think she'll. Love bus or a little later this morning while the say thank you can tell he claims to tower over who has failed to develop power means you know you're just happened to them okay. And again whatever he had a magnificent season is a magnificent player but as I was scrolling through stuff this morning did you see the picture that Aaron judge tweeted or yeah I mean I. I just incredible because he got to get it up it was on his own brother he looks like you not reading the child had a parking lot does he looks like some kid came up doom and asked him for an autograph especially just the way the picture. Is is about framed between the two of them like he's given all talk our rights on here's your honor we don't run for me today and words of encouragement that or it honestly what it looks like let. Out of it may be small in stature but he is much larger than that and I'm in hard to an inability and then on the other side of it Stanton who is who can look I'd lied about judge are pretty close to it which OJ yesterday could become the third ever. MVP to win the award and then changed teams the others were Barry Bonds Alex Rodriguez are and I just can't. Put up forty points last night. And if you let Antonio Brown on draft kings. You wake up with a big smile on your face while my son plays tracking my son Mike whether she also has he's in some leagues and forgot he had Antonio Brown. On his bench get out of here left him there. Lost out on those points well Mike I've sort of lets call it really bad mistake most games with a Honda receiving yards and at least two touchdowns in the last five season Antonio Brown eyes nine. Times old about come next with six tied with Jordy Nelson. With six but bad news is that we talked yesterday gave the stats has been money in primetime and Marcus Mariano does not throw a lot of interceptions. Through four. In the games first time a tiger pars or forty games and Steve McNair threw four weeks exit 2000. And former Mario and I had six interceptions all. Season and during the game through before last night not a good night for them and that is a topic. We're presented by progressive insurance ago. Test drive snapshot see how much you could say before switching to progressive visit progressive.com slash snapshot and let's start. Right there because at least for the moment until the weekend comes the Steelers are alone atop the AFC standings and has been a strange year. In Pittsburgh for this traditionally very buttoned up organization. Has been a lot of Norway's if you will. And yet through it all pure they are. Eight and two. With a defense is playing way better than it has put a couple of years and an offense that has been spotted re along the way. But maybe now start to pick it up at the right time and in the beginning of the second half last night they looked on stop. While the thought process an offense was probably going to pick it up if you're gonna bet on whether they were gonna get to more of what we're used to seeing of them I think a lot of people were taken that bet the often to buy for the first Haim. Last hour for the first time we should say in a long time many games at their original starting five on the offensive line that's gonna help that's a pretty good. Our unit there. And then obviously you have the the weapons that you have no they didn't run well last night. Your editorial on times for 65 guards at just a little over three yards per care and they've got dogmatic big night running the ball bought. Ben Roethlisberger threw a 45 times and that that's been such the turn in you see the evolution of Ben Roethlisberger when he first got the lead. You didn't want him throwing out of the team viewed in one I'm throwing twenty to 25 times let the teams running game and let their defense when it for a while we talked about their running game and their defense is really coming along but. Now been thrown the ball you know when he's thrown it usually good things are happen a lot of that. Is because of Antonio brown and you know about that whole thing that when Alan Moore or Mark Davis Bryant. And him want to get out of there now should you trade him and why do you advocate as a wanna be their trade and cute you can get form. This is why you you keep on. Not a big night and again you know it was horrible broke on the targeting editorial rockets are thirteen targets lately I'm dog at eleven target Jesse game to tide and got eight. Judicial issues to guide eight. Bryant got four he caught two passes and averaged fifteen yards per catch. He gets you yards per catch he's gonna get some in the end zone as well and that's a reason you don't trade him especially you can do in the off season. He can be a big play guy for you may not be a lot of targets compared to the other guys. But he still has that potential and you want that in your hip pocket as you go forward. Also jump on a fumble last night to remain sort of a big play in the field they will play the patriots. If you sort of think about that these are projecting ahead to what we can expect down the stretch in the AFC again with the patriots and that chiefs and the Steelers. Right now looking like the three best teams in the conference and you just bear in mind. Those three. They've got this sort of rotational having each other's number Feingold right Pittsburgh has Kansas city's number Kansas City as new England's number New England as Pittsburgh's number. So a lot of it could easily and I'm we'll never know you always give the edge of the patriots period there is during literature. But generally speaking you figure you see where those matchups start to fall as we get towards it again Pittsburg and a New England will play each other on December orders they seventeenth. And that game is home in Pittsburgh. For the Steelers super profits burger. Against been sort of an up and down year for him and pass the talk about possibly retiring they have guys that have it anymore yeah and he he sounded yesterday the guy is kind of tired of hearing all the talking. You don't know lot's been made of me or not. Dramatic carrying or whatever and not enough from you guys and so local or the national media stuff and it's not a further from the truth Fargo ought to give everything I haven't. Play as far as I can't for these guys in there and there are friends of the Rooney's and you know it's it's it's funny about Sony's games. Listen I'm not same media doesn't jump on some things which you want people start talking about like that diamond shops and what you Shane. Okay such damage part not all everything I might retire this year we know we always talks about his injures maybe I don't have it anymore said that nobody else said that. So people are gonna jump on that they're gonna talk about it talk. That's something I I I'm not gonna lie get a little tired of hearing. When athletes actually say something and make its comeback against them a little bit that's like all the media why they doing that. Tired of that Ben likes to talk no doubt about it but but the bottom line is. Learn excellent Hebert him at quarterback I think he's going to be playing so a couple of more years I don't mind all the talking like a syndicate that that he does. I'd rather not but he does and we know that about him. And when the media make something out of it that bad tonight as I said I get a little tired of when when he comes back at him for that. He's an excellent player in the bottom line is they're they're great team. When he's a quarterback and I think he's going to be the quarterback there for a few more years which is which because of that offense and their defense which is the younger defense and come along. Is really get a game they're gonna be right in the mix for the next year if you what. Simply weakened we got it is very strange to say this about a team that is taken to. But they've been sort of an enigmatic team they want me I agree here has gone on if you watch their game in Indianapolis for example on Sunday at halftime of that game you would've thought the Steelers Geneva wanna be there. They looked disinterested they they ended and then they came back and they found a way to win in the last night they just explode offensively but you put your finger on the most important point. The Steelers as everybody knows of one million Super Bowls and every year they won it they've ranked no worse than fourth. In total defense in those years and even in the Ben Roethlisberger years those were teams that were built primarily on Polamalu have James Harrison a well the last few years that he president bat I have Addison had they're not anymore. This defense is now ranked third in the National Football League you put that together with Roethlisberger of that group gets hot at the right time out there's there's an there's no reason this team can't win this. It's all about collection at the right time which they're starting to do it's always you know we do during November Heidi plane December can you play and the broke into play in the cold. This team can do all that Ben can rifled a ball through bad weather he's got guys that can catch in the play good if you're Damien Woody with his thoughts on that steeler offense. Only solve them you know you love and their weapons how to like to see more taxes would lay beyond bill but man when you have that connection were Roethlisberger Antonio for a few things. Youth ensemble denied him. Obviously he's one of that's why was he was in the lead here now every now we can hear you weeping and Antonio Brown certainly one targets ten cats when you have that's how the connection that could be an end Antonio Brown has. It's really ought to stop. This all the is that we spend weakness on for so long in and they seem like they've been enough in a low. This is our first game this year they scored over thirty points last year they score over thirty points in in for our turn three of their first five games. And they certainly did a more than a few times after that as as well so this is that the American lighted up and and like we said it's not restarts where you finish they're they're gonna win that division so it's all about. How are you positioned when the playoffs start. And I think they're going to be in a pretty good position and a lot has to do with that defense come along the way it is they also get a lot of rest coming up now to get a little mini break that you get when you play the Thursday game now they they play next Sunday night. Against the Packers in Pittsburgh. Obviously feels very winnable. Then they go to Cincinnati on a Monday night and they get the ravens then they get that big game with New England they finish up. With that at the Texans and then home against Cleveland so. They have ever that's not finishing up action there's a few Martin after the epic that's that essentially like listen pretty well oh yeah I like the Steelers right now are going forward right now that was. That Bobby when you're light on that pick I pick a Super Bowl last year. Rather get there this year were mica like mr. forward thinking Rajiv by Geico where fifteen minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance visit them at Geico dot com. Or call 180947. Auto Sunday we've got a double header. And the NFL we have rams vikings and the second and we have his Bengals Broncos the coverage starts noon eastern on ESPN radio rams vikings yeah they're really interesting match up I was reading a piece on the yesterday it's Jared golf against Kasey Kahne and McCain and was the quarterback of the rams. Last year I went off looked like he wasn't ready to do went out and learned a lot from him his work ethic and such was very impressed with but that's so. Unity got quarterback and quarterback but the bottom line it's the golf. And this offense. Against that Minnesota defense most in the B Minnesota defense is if it very good offensive team McKay scheme has been playing well. But defensively is is where they make their bones that keeps him in games and is going to be a great test form going up against that that rim often they've had these somewhat surprising ability to be a little explosive offensively though you know you see like feeling and don't dig or whatever number big together or been fantastic. I saw us that an ambulance Phelan is the only receiver in the NFL with five catches and every gallon this year. He he's been consistent and those of us who played all of that you got weekly Sharon last week he's now he's money every single week it is digs as weeks where he goes crazy and you use mix for a little bit but now he's he's back you know. Couple weeks and get back to full strength and they run it a little and got a little loss that obvious who have lost Alvin caucus battle line has been revamped amid doing a nice job but really. Case keyed them. You talk about a backup quarterback you wanted to keep afloat case keep him as renewing a nice job for this year and possibly for what's gonna come after this if you don't know that quarterback situation is going to be well my legs are gone out and left the little suspense at the beginning of this week bullet beat him all the B Bridgewater re easy to do what etc. why they gladiator Bridgewater gets the job I don't know why he would have been out of things are going like this there should be zero question there should have been any question brought up after the last game went I'll announce a star on Wednesday to Richard in case keep him as a starter. How how did you even think about going away from that and bringing in a guy is coming off the unbelievably catastrophic injury that they came off of it hasn't played in Seoul law and and that's put him back out there when this team is is playing well. I mean I can't even believe that was a thought process when you heard him say we have a plan but plans change so I think the plan was. To get back to Teddy Bridgewater the case came and the reason they're not case scheme of the reason that Zimmer said plans changed because he's playing well up to be out on the field. It's it's an interesting scenario for the vikings short term and long because the long term is all three of the quarterbacks on the rosters are free agent jab Bradford I'm here to Bradford Jimmy is not going to be there and in my opinion probably the immunity in the league an item and I wouldn't take achievement of a back up doc I. Personally I wouldn't I mean. He's a guy it's a shame you know what the injuries but he's not getting touched you know he's he's missing games and he start games and haven't a lot of games and is going on I ourself. You know I'm I would stay away from that to me it's the two quarterbacks do they have important next year this Teddy gets some time this year those are going to be the big questions yes hi Mike can Mike so. There's the football for you we have Plame. Have done to start this season and again a lot of credit will go to their coach and deservedly so and Tyree who leaves Cleveland under all of the circumstances that everyone is well aware of and wanted his own team and he's got it. And even without Gordon Hayward who go one level only count disarming a Boston Celtic uniform is what was unfortunately facing in the wrong direction up. They've got a lot of good players on that team Irving is this general that they can score they play really good defense and they come from behind to beat Golden State last night to win. For danger and they shot her breath particularly bad they shot 33%. Golden State shot 40% the biggest difference here is what drama angry brought up after the game as. They capitalize 38 times did Boston and the warriors got the line nineteen times twelve points scored by the Golden State in 33. By Boston from the free throw line that was the difference because they shot horribly. In this game so. You can take out for Boston I mean end upcoming back and winning this game a lot of that because a free throw but shooting that bad and still coming back and winning that game. I'm I'm sure a lot of people are surprised I don't think many people you see here we're load outs on the other one of fourteen game winning streak. Again I keep saying it's gonna level out at some point they'll lose let's see that the there's a keyboard anybody. Mandated air making it very interesting for all of us who keep saying it's gonna be Golden State Cleveland in the finals again. The foul shots for what it's worth. Boston took 25 in the second half Golden State took eight foul shots carrier ring with seven for seven from the line in clutch time yesterday. Golden State only made five fell shut in the entire second half and and as you mentioned. Seth Curry was asked afterwards about the possibility that instead of his annual visit to Cleveland in the rock and roll hall of threat might they might spend some time in Boston. This June. Very very likely right. Whether that's an uneasy. Since they beat Cleveland. That it. Very user wrote. And see where we're. The weather is great here in June it's. It is the weather's weather how about equal in Boston and Cleveland Jude as a so let me ask you this is a laundry together for that you know that that run on this time. What will it take. During this regular season. For you to decide. I believe Boston not Cleveland as the team that's gonna come out of the solve the out of the eastern can't get the regulars it's gonna be that the key which you said there is in the regular season and I'm check what would take in the regular season although it to change that's I mean and that's key because I don't know if there's anything because I think Cleveland is gonna take all of us. You know guys the guys are bad they almost came around. Guys are gonna mess with mix no doubt about it I don't know we're gonna ever great regular season record certainly hasn't started out that way. But I'm just not ready to do it I'm it as much as I'm sure people's heads are going to turn they still have LeBron James. Okay they still have LeBron their defense is awful but they have shooters. They can score. They seem to get it together when they need to and and I think they all understand on that team those guys have a lot of those guys have been around the block many times. That they need to be right when the playoffs start so to me I kind of throw away the regular season forged them more than anybody else. I again hash tag MM say thanks continues to be the number one trending topic in the US that's really very nice and all that stuff going on in the world. The people have taken a couple of minutes out of that day at least to tweet something at us nice messages and I'm sure you'll too much time I will find some time aren't as you go through as many of them as they are doing it as as I can answering some here and there and and will continue to do that. Yes I mean it took to reach. It's it just amazes me obviously all the people. That have watched and listened but hearing the stories hearing the my daughter was two and now she's you know a sophomore in college. You know I mean I was in middle school now married I mean all of it just on real hearing some of the stories of the time laps of this and the really. I'm not gonna suggest that not all meaningful they're all meaningful. But there are so many people that have sent notes that said. That when I was I'm just this is just one example I'm with my dad when he was having cancer treatments and we would sit we'd listened to you guys and it would. Make him feel better and makes me think of him now. And again all of the members of the armed service us who were British stationed overseas and I've told us because we were used to be on the armed forces radio network for many years. That they'd listened to us talking about sports and it would make them feel. Closer to home those those I mean you know. Also don't want I I completely group here and there's so many global relive a lot of those in. And how many times they've tuned in either listening or watching and you are here bust only talk about milking a cow or something from his dairy farm girl that's exactly right Roberts Danbury only the third and that there are few people and we couldn't get everybody on this week that we wanted to say thank you that we could not let that we go by without putting buster on because. I'm in every way both in front of the cameras. And ways that you saw when he would come on the show a million times hosted the show millionaire I'm Jesse did also behind the scenes because buster gets up too early how many email all my gosh many emails he he does as much show prep for us is anybody else he does and he's been a great friend over the years are we want to take a moment to say thank you Robert stand Barry only the third. That's really cool. And so wanted to ask me to let it beyond today and I actually was gonna apologize drop emails more than either the more I thought about it like oh my god I. I probably with the one he created the spam bots could espn.com he felt that it would send you guys and I'm glad I stayed at a hot stove event in truth very Massachusetts and I laughed because. I had that they experience they've had. A million times over. Thought that they starting espionage super nice woman came up to may. And that look I know I think about you I'd you know I'd but I got to know you a little bit when you run Mike and Mike in the and that's how I. You know saw you in the NC pause tonight one question asked will ESP can't be able would go on without might it might be bad does that hobby he's spent a lot about you guys thank you. I think they'll be just fine. That prohibited in the interest of of telling old stories all the way I believe one last time on this show we need to hear the story Daniel Boone you know. Oh boy okay cut six years old and my first pat with eight beer named Daniel Boone a black Angus steer. I would I know that day it will at some point was gonna become the family hamburger are. Up but I had a really spirited and one that went up to my friend Jimmy Davenport in Woodstock Vermont for a not play date and I came back. And there were Daniel Boone's force comic chambers on our backyard and that was the demise. Up my first that anybody that was my indoctrination into life on a farm. Andrea remember your expression when I told that story. I think it went into therapy well you've probably doubled your sessions of therapy after Wright told that story the first time. Could you still couldn't believe that could happen the first thing that we kept. Can you imagine the only your first pet in all honesty. In all eyes he did it affect you I mean I know you're you're on that farm use you knew that was gonna happen and you're CNET and if so did it did it affect your. Now picked a quote from that did the classic movie babe about the pig that's the way things are and that it the first first sign that believe me. I we we enjoyed many family pets are my time going up on apartment Vermont. Yeah that's one of the most disturbing sentences that has ever been spoken honest I can't hear a lot I can I just ask you an honest question serious question that I should apologize Q then. Do they not have a dog. Of a dairy farm could to have not had a hat. Where they are where there are no options of pat is that we're not many leading into our panel. Okay his worst does this year. Could they have not gotten you like a kid again and he could you know you are blustery could have had a little an academy cadets and was that not an option. Now we you know I probably had twenty dogs through the years probably at forty cats looked all that you have fair look at the live in the barn but I liked. Lot of kids grow up on favre's you know you're you're given a you know pat that cap up bulk you know a young cow that sort of thing he showed that the four H shows. And so like I got it. Any of bone I've bought I think guys like purchase rights or it was ten bucks from a local neighbor and that's what we knew it was gonna happen with being able. When he twenty years old and Anita Hill but it is really bacon and that that would the end. It's just amazing that he says it's like it's the most normal thing that at some point in my life I no longer to be presented this year you know as they passed it it's. And the other thing that I remember about that story by the way is that it was a day that I learned. The different delineation of account right so there's that there's a you know that's deer and a bowl are separated by wanna get what's the difference suitable atmosphere. At the the elimination of the testicles. I'm science that now I think that's. They could've been a different way of putting that I have to believe it is their real one is there learn the question tell no one called. That added that scientific definition of the difference between acute US. At the core I. They know what. Email Caracol. I count. Outlook prowl all the girls are by definition female. So let's hear is I don't know and now an atmosphere. In India spirit and have a ball right on how. I don't older adult respect Pete I really do. You know this stuff that I probably should have learned before milk to one of the two cabinet milked over the years must it was a huge help I buster was sitting here doing. Like a little milking prep for me one I don't know when it really milk an out and Arianna I am now I MMM and one more quickly with buster. Goal it may be your funniest line. In eighteen years of hosting I can I came during the World Series when Tony La Russa went to the bullpen and got the wrong reliever. And we said it was because he couldn't see over the outfield wall right and buster came on the next day. And said you know it's true because temperature and I went down and we stood on that dugout first happened we couldn't see over the wall anabolic said. But I say again the couldn't get couldn't get over to second base second base was in the way I. And and that an is that one of my favorite line I never I didn't wanna be immune that yeah third talk about. In a while back only now know through the years I understand like what I told you a month ago bidding interviewing those failed to bay. After games that I boom over him. Your laughter at satellite now. It resonates with me it will forever. The definition of looming or something else I don't know what I don't wanna ask baseball related has green and I've had this debate for eighteen years. It's Stanton that wins NL MVP and the out just enjoy about a by two points it's the first time that the top two finishers and ambiguity MVP voting. For me either league had both had came from teams are losing records and green is always greed takes a definition bin Al MVP. To heart I'd say it's mean it's the best player. Because as he says you know you can be the worst team and lose even more and and it's a wise act I the MVP how is he really helping you I disagree with that where do you stand on that. I totally agree with you again. Because I think fit look he can't. You you can't hold 88 unity be confident that the team against one player I think it's purely comes down to. Who is the best player in the league and I think over time what we're seeing with the MVP voting. Are you seeing voters trend in that direction Mike Trout winning last year despite the fact the angels. Weren't competitive and now this year. With Lotto NG Carlos stand finishing one to win the MVP voting despite the fact that their teams didn't compete I think that. Tells you where we're going with this directions sorry for any wrong again. Well they just need to check then just change the name of the award because. Valuable in that the first time we had this argument was over talk with A-Rod won the MVP award and a team that finished last. And I thank how valuable was that you take him off the table they gonna finish worst than last year hung up on your hung up on title I hung up on the word out to forgive me for you know for for. Actually reading what the name of the awards said literal I like hundreds valuable literal. So tell that you bet they'll both take a hypothetical. Way and now. Last year when the Red Sox played the angels. And bookie bet the red such as playing against might try to needles with bigbie. More valuable. To locate bet than what the Mike Trout. They had more meaning there was an infinitely more significance for the Red Sox and their performance in those games in August and September than it does. For teams that are hopelessly out of it look if there's no reasonable contender to be found. From a team that winds up winning something you don't have to win everything but be playing meaningful games in September if you're not doing that. Then I have a very difficult time giving the player the most valuable player award like you don't vote on offense I'll tell you what they'll bus you have been a most valuable as harrah's over the years and a great friend that won't change. But we wanted to make sure we say thank you to you today thanks for everything. Thanks guys it really it means a lot to me that gently on today. As always used to sail and introduced to me snapped the ball to Johnny Unitas. And to Bart Starr he played for Don Shula and he played for Vince Lombardi and he has the wisdom. That was extremely important to us early and our years we could not have let this day go by without saying good morning to our friend Bill Curry joins us on the shelf. Pennzoil performance final look at them how are your bell it's great to see you. Well I'm sad. But. Also blessed to get a chance to be with you this time. I hate to see you two part I'm no great things are down the road for both Leo love both of you and your families and a Mike got distinctly remember those boys run around as Syracuse it's hard to believe to see them as grown men now also remember when Mike junior would you and I did the seven overtime game. Ole miss and Arkansas. He had falsely. He wakes up the next morning they had the replay any runs downstairs has mom they're still playing at seven day I just I guess there's so many things that. I got to be the next to close to the go it family and green yet and get to know your family as well but I love you guys and appreciate what you do I think you've had a bigger impact than maybe you can realize. There there's been built for you know in talking to you over the years you information you know that the player and and and you know rough tough football player and an error that was a rough tough fair to. That way as a coach as well kept and and then you know to see you now you know when you helps are doing to start the program at Georgia State to see you as a grandfather. To so many grandkids and see how you act now. Where where did did did age truly bring the wisdom of took to kickback and enjoy things a little bit from book where you were player when you were coach. While that's a great question. If I have any thing to be very proud of it is a marriage to the greatest person I've ever known Caroline Kerr. Right behind that. Been exposed to great human being some of them were you just mentioned. To have snapped the ball to Bart Starr and Johnny Unitas. And so many other great quarterback just to have been in the in the huddle with. The greatest players of our air Willie Davis John MacKey. And Paul horning and all those guys had such an impact. The coaches there is a lot of wisdom in the minds of those people. And I've been exposed all of that doesn't mean that all of it took I wish it had I wish I could it. Played and coached the way those guys did but I was exposed to it and that's given me a different kind of perspective and I would have fit as sport calming down. The answer to your question is yes. With seven grandchildren. There's no time to be up tight we get to go to their best we're going to a state playoff game in Virginia. For our grandson Elliott who's playing tonight in Lynchburg Virginia and its very big deal to the courage that we're all going to be there. That's terrific Mike and Mike Bill Curry is well this year chatting and people ask me frequently about moments that stick out for me over the years of the show. And one of them is every member I ask you a question and I'll see if he remembered the way you answered it has I have quoted at a million times. I was introducing you on Senna and I said well as a former coach is a former player and I said bill that's an interesting thought. Do you think of yourself first and foremost as a former player or former coach do you remember what you said. Well I know what I think right now I have no idea what I was thinking yesterday or Beers ago that's all. Vacated but but I think of myself if I dream about football I don't bring that coach an odd dream that play. I think about play. I would love to line up again. Goalie and just see what happened have been so much fun. Let's or not that was the answer what he sell so now what he said. When I dream and I would I don't dream about you dream of saying I did made a great play call labor agreement saying I made a great blocker great Shaq and now. Amazing I'm here for both sides I did bill. Talking about want to block me I got my own kid talking about boy if I could have blocked you know one thing you guys had comedy is your your plate Saturn I remember of when Mike was in New Orleans and during practice occasionally he would have to snap to Drew Brees a guy's walking into the hall of fame. And I remember too you young players thinking oh my god if ice snapped the ball and break his finger or do something bad to Drew Brees his hand over to be out on the next train. You snap the ball the Bart Starr and John unitas any of those moments ever happened for you. I broke Bart Starr's finger my rookie year and we won't go to the us I'm not making this up. How were warming up to play the vikings. On the back up Sarah played on all the specialty and I'm just so happy to be there. The managers are supposed to catch the ball says they're being return I'm snapping the ball marched toward the ball to receivers are jogging make in the catches. During the warm ups so. A football is allowed to escape and it balances against the tip of the ball I was about to snap. I hesitated if I had been a veteran I just what the snap the ball Bartlett a pulled out. No consequences but instead I try to hurry and snapped the ball it hit him right on the end of the index finger snapped it. He goes ahead and plays I was in stark terror. He runs on the appeal throws a touchdown pass to Bart to avoid dour never forget this. And I was so I really hope guy Lombardo is not gonna kill me and eat me now affect our runs off with the US are running alone to snap for the extra point and he says the Lombardi and a very loud voice. I'm out my finger is worthless and he did not play the rest of the day. I'll never forget that and you know what Lombardi never even mentioned it to be accountable those that you would happen. And Bart didn't voted against and thank goodness for that actually happened at all remarkable. Mike and Mike in the great Bill Curry and and there are and then among the many reasons we want to have you today not not but up first and foremost is to say thank you for all that. They you brought to our show. But second is because you always have. Such enlightening wisdom that you can share not just with us but when their audience and so I would start that part of the conversation by asking you. And you played for these two brilliant legendary coaches let's start with Lombardi. If there was one lesson you learned from Lombardi that you've taken with the youth through your life that you think we'll be meaningful to our audience today what would it be. That's when barred his greatest attribute in my opinion and this is my opinion. But what do you look at it from the human standpoint or the spiritual standpoint use a deeply spiritual man or if you look at it from a competitive advantage standpoint. His greatest asset is that he would not tolerate racism. We have more African American players on the Green Bay Packers get the team pictures out studies and other things headquarters. Or they had no African American players and they brag about it. And nobody could be yes and I remember thinking I wonder if these people gonna figure this out so that was coach Lombardi is greatest attribute I think. Beyond his intensity and his obviously was a great teacher whose high school physics teacher. He set me down my first day with the team honorably. From the college golf start. He drew up the entire packer offense on the yellow legal pad. In about two hours I still remember that lesson that's what great teachers so his second greatest attribute I think. What's his the past capacity to break things in this simple components that even people like me can understand. And I can do I'm 75 years though and I can draw those place today. And I can't develop systems from other processes I was him so. Coach Lombardi had a lot going forward but those of the things that stick out in my mind that are helpful. Four people have been very helpful for the leaders of our country to pay attention of some of those attribute. Guys I definitely want a guarantee your thoughts of of everything happening now but then Don Shula you played for I play for Don toward the end of his career in 1993. I would Miami you obviously play for more in the beginning of his career so what were the big big lessons and thought you you took from him. We're gonna show us save my career. Don Shula took a lot of guys I was one of them. That nobody else wanted. You study those great teams they have the dolphins a lot of those guys had arrived is free agents some number in the whole thing at all. But it's because done she would believe denotes. And have been put on the expansion list of New Orleans which I thought it was terrible. And as you could call and asked if I would be. Willing to place special teams for him in Baltimore are never forget what process or coaching a football to Baltimore play for news. Well he brought me in allowed me to play on special teams and wouldn't you know. The very first gate national television where play in the falcons and act clip of Guile and eighty our partner. She who runs on the field grabs me by the shoulder pads and screams of my face. What I deserve to hear it wasn't nice even being that idiot that I was at the time I screamed right back with the same language. Not proud that. Well in this film's coach John sandusky a couple of days later says couriers clipped us as well might be. It's it is official and make a suggestion to you occurred. Next time you decide to dog because the head coach on national television you make very sure that is not clear and I. Well. My Carol was flying in with our new baby girl a couple of days later and I'm thinking I'm have a one game career I'm going to be cut. Our child as a Robin I'm not gonna have a job I don't know what I'm producer I went and found issue and this is the part that makes him great. He took me back in the equipment room and classic coach I was completely oh I'm so sorry that. Shouldn't raise my voice to you did come across the white ones. And in the NFL us not a nice place. But I'm sorry that I used that language refute and I shouldn't have been jumping in your face you know he said to me. He smile he's that I kind of life. Just don't click to and we got enough hard for him. If he ever decided he believed in a player he would never give up on you and the fact that he wouldn't give up on us we didn't give up on him. So I love playing for him he salvaged my career not really owe him everything from in terms of life so career. Jay and bill Currie joining us two time Super Bowl champs certainly that's it's a great title after name but so much more Bill Curry. Is has been and is through this show as well. Bill I'd like it kind of Mary and yesteryear and today can I follow you on Twitter and I know you do a lot of speaking as well about things going on today but also things from yesteryear and I think one of the best ways to tie it and because I I I remember reading this in your book your definition of the huddle. I'll just what they heartily as on the football field and how that can relate really to to everything outside of football. Most everybody can remember where we were on September 11 2001. I remember I was on September 13 which was Thursday. We were driving to our assignment you an hour driving to Birmingham Alabama to do southern miss. Alabama game because in ESPN would not put us on airplanes and we'll going to be told last cellphone. During that trip whether or not the games would be played its last stop for gas and talent Alabama. And this nice service stations and so what coach would go play the games this week in us of I don't know that you may be the first fan in America find out news or my phone rang and we were told we were playing. So I go to the guy at the desk and I say well we're not play in the games this weekend I'll never forget his response. His as well as his jugular stood out he said well I mean Terry's coach. That Friday night with the play football because it means a lot us. Our stuff. This Oklahoma but why does it mean a lot and a couple of Alabama or College Park Georgia or pull a book Colorado it means a lot in America. Because of pride in nice to community hospitals. And people sit together that never sit together the rest of the week and when somebody's on scores a touchdown the most unlikely close worker. Those children that have been raised to hate each other about this that folks in our culture. Did in the locker room they get in the huddle and they learn to love each other. And that love and respect regardless of the color of one's skin regardless of religion regardless of national origin. At last the rest of your life. Football's only sport in which every player he's every team made every play just to survive. Well the United States for America structured symbol. And we seem to have forgotten that fact so football's a little more profound a lot of people understand that's what people. Need to hear I think about our business. Grown I can't think of a better way to leave it in that. Now bill you have meant everything in the world gloss over all these years thank you. Banks fell appreciate all the years that I know although they tell you what we'll keep talking I'm sure but thank you for the time. Are you guys that are greater impact than no we love you thank you bill appreciate it. I can't do much better than now that's since graphic gets and what do we take a short break on that thought welcome back we gonna have we wanna talk about a complete change. Of direction frank Kelly endo is gonna join us next so did you broke her impression. I don't I don't think anyone in the world would build our readers that. Why we needed a moment there to recover I'm I'm I won't lie do you I was so overwhelmed that I appearance from Bill Curry. Well because there's. What can you say I mean if you were with us that you know what I mean and I am told that the Twitter has exploded. As a result of inaudible all of our guests over the years and we rob. Say dad had a Manny. And then once we got into the Twitter phase in reactionary. You know immediate reaction to people. I don't know of bill has ever received a negative. Reaction to him by anybody. And we can't say that about everybody it's it's been it's unreal and and he and I relationship goes back obviously years and years and yeah he was a tough football players what he what he had to be you know in that air and what he's. What he's grown into now the thoughtful mess coming out of him on every day things this is just. It's just really incredible and I I had initially forgotten about. After 9/11 that first drive of the first game we are gonna do that got cancer because he's right ESPN didn't want us flying at that point. So we were gonna drive and that game got called off. You know before we got to that destination. Totally the first game we did it was was a Syracuse game and I'll never forget. Standing in their boots with myself and and he Dave Barnett. Sing the National Anthem I mean changes tears pouring down everybody's face of playing a game after that and what what football matter what to what it meant to be. Together then and just. That would really just kind of is it kind of in capsules the relationship of myself and bill learning so much from him. You sitting down at whether it's in Fillmore or you're having dinner just talking him. About life is really really were great great years that I had an. As they had the man has to step yeah I can't say enough about. There's a special person and I'd I'd I did not get to know him on the level that you did but I certainly. In the earliest years of our show he was around us a lot and I did get to know him some and I'm there are not too many people whom I admire in the same way that I brought him his wisdom is remarkable on that. That clip right there. I was just saying to the crew like right now hash tag MM say things continues to be the number one trending topic. Right now Bill Curry should be the number one trying to tie break Allen message and I hope everybody got hurt and we don't do any. Of that kind of talk on this show generally here we haven't for eighteen years. I'm but you couldn't Saturday better on the way tied everything together was was fantastic anyway. That was great so front and I've got a map the sublime. To the ridiculous I'm told we have a special guest real phone right now so let's side chalk up the phone air and see who's called in to say hello to us and our final day good morning good that's. Tagged it flooded it saying you're a bit debt that it had a good job over it yet. I expect that but the Olympic acted like what that looked like it like so. And a that we thought that the fact. That active but our kids so like everything you did this. Holds a little little little holds for us and I think I think there may be a few other voices. Along the way up I don't know exactly how many years ago it was there was a frank how have this is obviously the great Frank Caliendo. Frank how many years ago was it that you came in here with us the first time. What you know it came in at different and I called a couple times early on. Because Scott Shapiro if you remember he had worked an Atlanta and act on the radio with him and that he had brought me. On the show to do I think Madden a couple times there's something like that and from the air. You know it's years later. But it really sure what what if you render instrumental and be doing. The stuff that ESPN the 31 thirty. Groove with gruden. The girl when I came in after being at fox. They could be. The baucus had said. Well we didn't know you did all these other impressions like I I didn't do all those until today it is to figure. Well that's right to a bunch of ESPN guys. And they're like oh what was that now we will do some some segments with you for sure so that that worked out really well also. So many times over the years you guys have done them been there for me I really appreciate. While we appreciate your and it was itching to have you on the phone and then. The first time we had your studio the difference is incredible when you could see their facial. You know expressions that that I mean that that just has just absolutely cried enough and hear the different. Yeah as you can all look. The radio does so many different things and look at people. When they don't get it to you you could start trouble I think it's things like I decided to become the next head coach of the Tennessee Volunteers. That's path that's. I didn't like that people get played out over and over allotment going to be fun coaching but honestly I do they do it. And out audio over and over it and they'll actually get into the oil market. Exactly right directed that we had Jon Gruden on tape now saying he's going to attend a citadel of the grew rumors. Have been I have been confirmed here live on Mike in my is that is that now the number one thing that people know euphoric obviously Madden was what you were legendary for its it group now. This group compared Barkley. You know the Morgan Freeman because of the it will probably letter that Obama would you guys which was the probably the biggest viral thing I've ever. Ever done been a part of doing that I remembered doing that. But the the bottom letter and then. That night Jimmy Fallon playing it for Morgan Freeman on the Tonight Show he picked it like when people do impressions of him. And though but that was it. So called RI frank I we're so blog went when he said that I saw that I'm like I thought I would of loved it but. Yeah I was viewers a little less than lukewarm about that. I think that's the funny your answer though don't you're fit to did not like it I don't know what he does or doesn't assure that. I think it's funnier to go back Matt respect and the best woman have a big part we have a bit and took. So so let's hear and on this hour last day together would just to get open up the arsenal whoever it is you want to because real love I I'm we might call out a few of them at the end if you don't do them. But just give us a couple of nice send off messages from some of our favorites. I Kerry Wood got up market in America at all I got a phone mobile outlook called ever popular let you know that up or. And everytime you knuckle near mute Beirut. I'll be there are poor and this is great unbelievable the last show it's incredible the crime which we've had. Had it. The stage that night I'm going to. You don't present that true look at the earth rotates and we feel it in the orbit around the shot will though that took borrow it and the other day and I won't be speaking all await him to let the dark about. Call off. Escobar is going to be neat it's a great joke. And texting me and I figured it out but I could do it and independents don't all important right elbow according with a bit of the back Mort. I mean you think of all the things that you could do in the morning of all the people who equivalent of two. Erik Erik there at Uga thought they could we got two guys with different things what they simply got two guys. With a statement and better. Think I bet I would act. That that's the catch. Really don't remember any of the boy do they do. I'll well let's David thank. I believe that this is the tip quite cockpit tranquility artist at atmosphere that we're feeling right now been. The radio will never beat it and you've got to have done so much and let me just say this. My act. Go lick Matt Greenburg and they are Clinton's. It's going to be a tremendous wrap all. I'll bought a mourning her goodbye from Mike Ditka. Again yeah I got to get a B average as I've never let me show. The time you came and it just started chewing gum or a phenomenal what are my favorite no news is that I've ever had. You know other ornaments I limitations for whatever reasons is Jim Rome. Big domino how great bet but it just became the best part of your show when I called it ridiculous. Put nominal. All Froogle off to the plate what man outlook arugula at my favorite kind of let it. All of our jobs and and then let's leave it with two out at the dean of ESP and that their that their grandfather if you will of all of us. And Chris Berman. Case we not get it right there have been only targeted me you wouldn't unleashing shipment. Again I can take I enjoy the time we screen but I'd never actually local communities in orbit that little eight. Any big bad. Ha ha ha. Frank if we we've had so much over the over the years we can't thank you enough I know our audience has really appreciated all the laughs. They brought for us I remember being with you and Arizona I'm over the super I was in Arizona and which is where frankly you know came under the show like 4 o'clock in the morning and you're sitting there making everybody laugh so. Thank you very much for all the fun over the years and you while I'm sure we'll both be seeing you soon thanks frank. Thank you guys so much and I really do appreciate everything. Well thank you frank frank Kelly and he's Erica and I love them they're really was sold different when he was on set for the first time. And you saw the facial expressions I mean just. Actually at a summit ground crying he does does such a great job frank onstage dot com now if you wanna go see him come. Really very funny and and I'm very enjoyable I don't know who this person is but this summer and and and Mike your wife Chris has been tweeting these. There's someone out there who obviously recorded every episode of our show ever. And is now that's my wife actually disrespect their. That that as you guys been I don't know where she found it but this guy is tweeting like little moments for Marshall over right yeah ideas and he tweeted that one. Which was the one where he did Chris Berman. Introducing the entire Sunday counter right count on line up when I was then which was Cris Carter key Shawn Johnson Mike Ditka. And that's the one where did it just it is entire imitation of Vickers is Jewish we gum it was fantastic and I'm I was watching that the other day and it may be laughed so hard I couldn't stand it I mean all these years after he did it it was. Very funny and I guess in rolling right into my ticker story about that the story of him at the airport. Him being one that you want might pick at an airport seriously we were we were that we had done the Monday night right while game. In Oakland from an it was umi and Ditka and Susie Colbert where the where the broadcast team. And they rush us out there to get us to the San Francisco airport to take red eyes back east and we're flying to Chicago. And Susie her baby was very little at that time I mean she was still rests writing. So she was pumping right so she's got breast milk and they're giving this is you know you're a West Coast red eyes you know everyone's hired everyone's Larry Wright pillows. You know we're all kind of bleary eyed but kind of fired up from right the telecast wherever it is. And I noticed that they're giving Susie a hard time right about getting her breast milk right security so I'm over there trying to sort of help her and also I look up and there's Ditka. They've pulled him out of the line I mean still dressed and and I mean we all couldn't have changed quick enough to get in a comfortable clothes not Ditka standing up. Sunglasses sunglasses tie up jacket on arms out like orange gum chewing gum being wanted being winded. And and I'll never forget thinking to myself you know if there's a problem on this plane I think I want my Dick Marty is running behind to buy ticket to protect us. And here are wondering this guy and he and I wanted to actually seated next to each other on the plane and you know that terrible sleepy get on a rat Diana Donna woke up when we were landing. And I look. And there's tickets to sit and straight up like buddy unsigned filled up he's just up sunglasses still onto the senate as I don't really an out I mean. As as out of it as I could possibly be. But it was terrific to us here with some getting used to do our show today and Mondays and the old studio I mean back on again before this was anything I mean these people helped make us. Because people want to hear what I picked had to say oh reality come in and he would and he was terrific with us everything Brunette that what what still picture that was like an addicted dressed for the nine sunglasses not a midnight being laundered. That was that was something that's quite an hour we have working here with fabric Bill Curry back to back with frank Kelly and we have a lot left to do here and it will continue in just a moment. Said today is a tremendous understatement that Michael Mike has been a part of my life for seventeen years green is my friend goes to his family. And not having him on every morning is going to be hard to deal with thank you guys. For the entertainment gridlock good luck you all I'm which thank him for the entertainment is the best he's such a great friend like a serious jam and I and I judge a lot of data on how. People treat my kids. And he is treated my kids like they were his kids and and for that I will always be a friend of his are grateful to imported. Look forward obviously hanging out with him still a lot more absolutely right and he stinks a draft things like pain he does will kill him he's makes it twenty dollar weekly donation to. Ha ha you are drafting is full which as much a decade. But he is a very nice I don't know honors on the level that you do but certainly we used to go to his golf event every single ER rated show among I mean tons and tons of money. So that's very nice look why are we just tell stories here since we're on at the stood going to the White House. Was genuinely a great thrill. I'm and we were invited there in the summer of 2008 right by president George W. Bush who used to have every single summer he would have a T ball game. On the lawn of the White House. And he they would have a kid from each of the fifty states that would get the planet and I don't know how they. And you know chose the children got to play but they made into a really big deal did so the coach's word Ryan Sandberg and John Smoltz. Kenny Chesney sang take me out to the ballgame the honorary commissioner was Frank Robinson. And you and I were the announcer right and we did the announcing for a I will never forget this as long as I left and then we get done and your wife Chris couldn't come for some reason city. It's when and why should get a swim meet that was going to be a Florida so Chris was going with her their soul. Jake my son Jake came I met I met troop with me. And I ended up sitting right next to Laura Bush which was unbelievable left hand and I don't say you know Goji Johnston don't don't don't swear don't say anything that I hit well there's always wonder what Jake what's gonna go on my wife was was with me and she became a friendly good friends with that with Ryan Sandburg put the kind of bonded. And so we were their for the afternoon tee ball game and then there was a dinner that night right which we were invited which is where we saw Kenny just right. So stays and I Ryan Sandberg driver's name is Margaret they've left in the middle of the baseball game due to their hair and makeup done for the dinner tent. Fast forward the game ends. These guys with guns the size of us shot walk over to lessen say the president would like you to -- your moment and accompanying him back to V to the Oval Office are quite aware why college was going to a house I mean hey that's terrific and he cannot sing noted that worries and I got some I'll play I do and how you make any jazzy and President Bush walking up this path. So we're walking back up the path he's talking to you a lot about football. About Notre Dame and all right kind of stuff and I can tell that he he recognizes that he's talking to you and hasn't said much to make some returns to me and he says so green where's your wife. And I is a much heavier accent in person and I had expected and I could not come up with a line fast enough so I said. Mr. President you went to get a hair and makeup done for the party to okay fast forward. Seven hours later he's the president of the United States seven hours later we come back for the dinner and we each get taken to buy two into the room to get Roger with him and the First Lady. We come around the corner. We start walking towards them he looks right up on us without a word and he says Stacy your hair and makeup looked terrific. I'll never forget that as long as they live that's the president of the United States it was it is one average. Genuinely memorable moments of my nose very cool I'm before that ordered new pictures you and I got a picture with him and his wife and and there's a marine there that announces Julia newcomer on the corner as a kid around there goes my hat you're like why I'll pose this. Wife in eight starts talking us and there's a line of people to get pictures his wife OK we are. He got that local G got that look at we are all very used to from the wife like wrap up George we got a long line of people heard. Take pictures not only that but I think she was aggravated because as a consequence of him yelling Mike and Mike we were never formally introduced brightly she could know who we work had no idea we work and she's very proper answer she why I think wanted to greet us. You know and she couldn't script I didn't want names so you're right she gave that stare she did she didn't read write it into the and I mental thing about the dinner there is whoever you're wish they don't she chew with them they put like Jake was error with me so they put him at a different table they want you to be with different people. Who is I don't campaign Paulson the secretary of the treasury. Like everybody's satellite gives you look at begging you see this did send the menus around to get autographs and everybody I'm thinking like. Who is this go like I yeah we all see who were sitting where assays I think was sitting with Kenny Chesney. I was sitting with Ryan Sandberg so happy is a clinical comes over. Wanted to know losers Henry Paulson. Telling that this secretary of the treasury and now this is a member of the cabinet if I don't know American. Jimmy Somalia treasury nobody does he print money already got I got there right now. Is that right that isn't exactly what he does but. That that. He could have peak let's go to just recognition immediately when he was the CEO of Goldman Sachs he probably now has a nine aren't so if if you're looking for Ireland the money that would have been a guy coming out of a little little nicer than how well listen I'm from what I recall we were friendly now we were anyway that was a great experience thank you President Clinton for doing that Alice wolf that was really very nice okay we'll take a short break. We'll come back and off the top the next hour. One last time we will do the good morning so no. And as we finish this thing out Al hundred kilometers shot into double down on the way back in a moment. Yeah we started this thing eighteen years ago we made a conscious decision. That it was going to be a family right fair right that our families are gonna be a part of what we do and what in the earliest days of the show I remember you telling stories about. I mean I remember a time Mikey aboard blocked Chris and she will follow garner not soda glasses fell off. All the different things and then when my kids were born in an all of that we decided the show was gonna be in large part about. Our families as much as anything else and if I can tell you. That we were criticized for that a lot of through worked brilliant but we got that was one thing that we never changed our minds about and it's the best decision that we ever made this has been a family. Affair from day one and and all of you have been a part of it and we thank you. We're being a part of this extended family they would try yeah we're gonna. Could our family that just sort wanted to do plus they provide unlimited material for us as well which group which certainly helped and I think. All the all the people that we think and reason that we loved doing the show I do think one of the things that I liked hearing the most along the lines of of of more of a family type the show work. Morning shows and some you know radio can be a little blue and stepped the line at times. Is when we had moms say. I never had to turn your station off when I was driving my kids or school when you kind Newell is coming like OK I gotta turn this off because they're gonna go to our road I don't want my kids here. As they always said we appreciated the fact that we get driver kids to school and listen. To your guys talking your humor and where we are we're part of that you're right we we took some so knocks are that one but you know we didn't care where we were there we're gonna do is we're gonna try to do it our way. We have been for better or for worse ourselves this is what we are on out on the air on and off. For all of these years and and someone asked me the other day why do you think you guys did. And I said I said our best yeah we do our best for better for worse all right with that said well let's turn to our worst here Leo I'm trying to. Our. It's the last in your last hour you're right I have screwed us up more I don't know today that it closed the door if you wanna do the good mornings on first you wonder about a hour drew good morning Soledad so I had promised guys kill the music score this one he want he want I got this one wrong yeah forwarding grubbing and Republicans saying if you want to just look at him for crying out loud. We. Open this show for the first several years and I'm doing it right with a good morning song. And it seemed only appropriate to open in the last hour agreed with that goalie kid this is my first learned you could sink and it hey we got him here. I'd mod random drug law and then that's some games listen John through good mall and in good on him do you and you. And here it bought and got my. You on now. Anja are. Moya SPS. Bonds I don't know. Well I'm you're all we are you got the words right that I finally got hail and eighteen years later on my family when we met Debbie Reynolds yes we did not register so she was so guys tell you why she had no clue where work is it absolutely no idea who the world why we were interviewing her but she is very nice she was so taken aback civil war for these two guys up. Who hosts a sports show now why are they interviewing me Jacqueline Jews are like a one woman show what can plug in some analysts yeah and she was very funny OK so that was there we go my bad I should that's okay got mad and edited we got bubbly here for love to shove it which has brought to you by Granger. And Bubba today is dressed as as a judge you just didn't wig and everything what is the what is what young guys how are Obama. Doing all right yes so you ever to his last show our bodies are. There is a less show through go oversaw the arguments we've had over the past eighteen years and a lot former shuttle OK all final. Verdict so this car or. So everything we thought this is the empire over the decisions that we make today are fun closes and die maker final I don't really carries or you're after a quick. Opinion from us and you are gonna Brad available lovers you know sentiment over two years older program and you lover shovel and go from there. And ultimate villain the delisting on the radio he's got to see Bubba right now and now you look like that would be outfield for the judge over there for her you know. He's a met fan too which is. Overall violence you have watched the first drive. Bad man is a superhero rush job lover shot I shot love it absolutely shocked that he's not he. Multi millionaire or billionaire who has a lot of great choice. The end of the day the end of the day he's got to go through security to fly to play because he can't fly can't do anything like that okay. He is not a superhero he just hangs out with superheroes could use a wannabe. He actually has his own plane which is better than anybody else's play any has his own tools are his own belt. What makes him the best of the superheroes is that he doesn't have any of those. I'm skin doesn't have any of of those super human now abilities and yet he still manages to accomplish all that he does in my view that man does not only -- superhero he is the best of the superior reasoning is what the super France's so somebody can get captured so the other real superheroes can save somebody once again I say this is my my closing argument peck he's on the super friends. He's gone friends. He's not Ross. He's on the super friends with all the other superheroes. Because that's already belongs bad manners a superhero. Well look and final verdict no superpowers shove it yeah yeah. Yeah aren't diehard duck the ninety minute film starring Bruce Willis which was released in July. Is it Christmas movie love and her stomach absolutely shocked that it's not a Christmas or discuss or some Christmas songs in it and some snow hornets around Christmas doesn't make it a Christmas movie it has nothing that true. With Christmas or the spirit of Christmas are no I dad it's a bunch of killing a bunch of bullets at a bunch are broken glass it has nothing new Christmas. And you know wild video store. And report die hard in the Christmas section and I said I went to a witness please repeat that this was. Purely a business move report. Diehard in the Christmas section during. Because people would read did and we lord make money off their stupidity. Okay doesn't got to push this movie you should have pled the fifth on that one and you just testified against yourself you're making my point form eight. Not only that particularly when the MC classic Christmas in Hollis. Comes from that movie girls visit the clippers thought it precursor to a 100%. In the Christmas bit this spirit of Christmas for the whole thing takes place around an office Christmas party and in this spirit of Christmas hovers over the dollar higher Mercedes and are significant and once again not only does every video store in America. If they still have those. I'm place die hard in the Christmas section there wanna make money the one that the goalie family owned in Orlando Florida. Placed that movie in the Christmas section I rest my husband wanted to make my art is a Christmas movie. Christmas in the crucial section. Love it I love it OK very good number one in one at a boy bullied hadn't gotten scholarships during childbirth. A father should stay ignores. A vehicle into auto publish on the one one another battle editing more auditions are complete job I don't know why you wanna don't want it. Beat down their check it all out man Stuart Deborah for my daughter Sydney. I actually almost. Burst her while and I shouldn't say that we're gonna reward them I want I almost caught her. My wife urged her. I almost caught her. Because can I start over yeah please don't the doctor wasn't getting there in time and the nurse when when when should he was basically on her way out. The nurse went in the hallway one more time to see the doctor was. So I'm down there with the catcher's Mitt are. Should god said hey. Brian impoverished fans but you know the nurse came back and ended up delivering Sydney so. You've got to be south of the green got it taken the whole experience that you should I killed for gosh sakes I. All hardly disagree I spent plenty of time with my children since that moment I didn't need to be there for the instant that it happened stay north of here according you wanna go up there and Montreal. You gotta be up there in the Toronto maybe our don't themselves and they also. Adams out of Argentina. You don't wanna go bad you don't want this stuff gone under and you don't want any part of you don't wanna know what happened that you you don't want any you know this is just not our place mop my brow. Hold your hand. Here's Bernard encouraging words here's the other reason I say go south of the equator of Europe there are no. If that means the wife can get a hold Leah ya she can grab a part of the body draw blood if there's pain and all that kind of thing soul. Yeah I remember what you said to me that and it's not somebody I can repeat on the air now but that the first words and were shocked the jumping up you've heard that many times so yes but that was allowed just cheer for senate you know I brother which way hero all right hey if you wanna go south go south and Baghdad pillow. That's a mistake. Brimming. Has never color his hair love it or Charlotte. I got there right here is Schiavo. All tired it's all yeah and I've told you this story. When I was in high school. My friends and I got a product called sunny and deflecting I don't know what this says about me but we did -- deflect my die we put it in our hair my hair turned orange black dean my mother was so mad at me she wouldn't let me go get a dog back so Dwight hires senior year of high school my hair was half orange the flight I'm glad they told this and certainly for the entire eighteen years of Mike and Mike. I'm Mike children's lives. I have never once dyed my he had never never never do that your children have at all let's say never ever go away because there are only. Early. Looks at this show you look like you're ten years old face wise. And your hair is the exact same color so you can't tell me that you have not told Amanda goes to a shallow on every other day air okay every other week whatever it is yelled you can't tell me you don't call earlier I don't believe has got as my wit we're gonna Stacy right there Stacy thumbs up some nuts I don't go to. Please go to Carolina she says no but she has two she's contractually obligated to lodge if this happens to be the truth. If Stacey says they're gonna go and one in the eyewitness. Race Terrell script. Horrible or great coming over here Paul was and I don't doubt that at all I'm not coloring it kinda like Armenia's. Never once again not since high school and it was orange. Mike and Mike Glover shot that would bobbled golden. When Bullock intercepted Troy Aikman he was just standing there. A loner shove it. Greatest moment in the history of anything horrific just terrific. My job on that play and here's the reason I'll win this argument but he rides ahead coach. My job on that play I was over the guard it was Nate Newton my job is to occupy Nate while our blitzer goes past him so Nate can't come off in my block. And block the blitzer it worked to perfection as soon as yeah ask. Shop plane that Brooke you break your fingers once a butcher goes past me I'm supposed to drop or hang their drop into coverage it worked to perfection. Are certain. She's got to try and pressure got to make many dump a ball off and I intercepted that we've brought. Rex Ryan the son of Buddy Ryan I shelled out. And he confirmed I did exactly the right thing Ohio and I'm mad blitz to get that interception you have no argument all on this one I'm actually going to agree it is however so it is true he's right Rex Ryan confirmed it. However. The fact that John Madden called it that way. Is probably the funniest thing ever makes me sick and it's a shame if he's a hall of Famer that John Madden is overrated Azam Bluetooth things. About your football career that make me laugh the most are bad now and the fact inside I found this picture yesterday so I put it up. I'm is when you say you never played against Brett Favre now and then I like ten seconds later a listener. Emailed us a photo of you playing against Brett Favre but at that time again he was Brett Favre run nobody knew we want a song and I didn't use number whatever it was four was number four when everyone or another I'm actually gonna agree with Phil on this one Bubba let's say whereas here the subtle more time. The odds are the other one. Yeah. I mean first of all of Jon Mann says that. You're also never gonna outsmart Troy Aikman and you were just standing there. Overall I you know on a kind of like the ruling that we even if I don't agree or that I like I hate public. Ride next. Kissing your dog on the lips is socially acceptable. Love it or shove it actually a lot I mean why why did not. Dogs a bird dogs I'd rather have on the search center and that's a human beings so I'm gonna kiss the dog and the dog can kiss me on the lip and occasionally. Open my mouth but that's just occasionally OK but absolutely adore kiss you on the lips is acceptable and encouraged they are not alone even his own. It's wondering. And what your own dog. This story that I've told many times and I think we get this originally is one of the first time you ever came to my house loses a million years ago long before we had a dog. We went for a walk in the neighborhood I don't know why I don't know why we're I don't know how bottler for a walk in his neighborhood. I don't remember why but we encountered a little dog we did and going out and give birth to one of my neighbor you know what the neighbors don't go would pick up the dog. They get this before I had dogs I didn't really know much about dog etiquette. And gorgeous French kissing the dog I mean the dog as they used to jokingly is still asks about him all the time. Hey where's your big friend because he's an I these days like French kissing. This dog very friendly to all our but but but but yes here's the thing you'll and I'm glad you've done that I have you've come into the dog world I don't understand the law over there is no greater pet than a dog I love dogs I did I know you love dogs now are you telling me Phoebe is never kissed you a little every now and again. She'll sneak one in like I like to put my face right up to her is yeah and criminality Angelica a lick me right now can you hold back. I don't love music she feels when you pull back. Products are kick her feelings into consideration he never said I think about it now I think it shows in our action Karzai can tell she seems comfortable OK I Bubba Heidi. I mean there's really no debate here of course you kiss your dollar and absolutely right I knew you know I'm not there are absolutely right eyelash to want plus one waffles. Are better than blanket that's ludicrous lover some of the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard waffles -- a distant third on the practice carbohydrate what do you menu French toast French toast is is is in my opinion French toast and pancakes are one and one day I go either way. Waffles are decidedly third and here's why. Because the moment they start getting cold and they do fast. They start getting to this point she placed that is no longer I don't like when they're cold. What are edition will also pay for your checked out of for an immediate but you have what are you are super fan's dream don't yes you do as a part that I demand coming serious eating a piece of cardboard almost immediately I I've never been a fan of the waffle. I'm not into the waffle and go on Wofford is is not even forget about pancakes. I would go I would go to all the I would go oatmeal. Over over waffles on the breakfast menu waffles are like ninth for me OK your loser waffles I love this and I'm gonna tell you why to tell you why. Because most of the time people like to put something. On their part on their wall Muller French toast whatever blogger whipped cream whatever it is or syrup okay exactly. When your anything no lawful. I'm really runs off. They're didn't really runs off. The Belgian waffle has got all the craters in it when you put some deny America its days you get it with every single. My mouth is watering every bite that's why the waffle is numero uno on the list what city mileage. Final ruined. Clearly painted suburban waffles are more importantly. French toast is number one hope I do like her grandson to number one cause I like that that is a problem I don't know runs. In the bottom third job Bubba thanks now I love it. Or shove it brought you by Granger and I'm out of the job Granger has got your back ranger for the ones who get it done Bob you have done a great job you have this. And associate with the show and you know that's awesome so. You know whether there was that the Mets run into and 2015 where the every morning rejecting then you know before the game after the game win or lose is having a great time. Or my my promise never moment on the air when you guys lemon talked to Mike yachts you know that's a little I'll never never forget mom and then of course you know the bat that we you now. Going right to receive a letter that I send me to Dallas woman that I got to go to Dallas. And so we know you nor I was on the show in the last couple years anonymous showed dated every guy's inviting me back full ownership of it each week so I appreciate you guys and other truly done. Best of what these guys are. Bob thank you Bob -- the brass absolutely another member of our staff who just got here and he's here with his kids this is another thing why is that as the show has gone on I mean Williams started on our show. When he was a kid Leon how old now when you start let us ten. I mean he was he was. He was 23 wood right out of college he is now married a beautiful wife who got two beautiful kids out and he's here and many have you not only remember early and I worked on our show probably as long as anybody yet. I item I don't have the list and funny but of all the people who worked on the show we probably did as long as anyone. Tom many of you remember Williams my limbs mom oh yeah and she had great fun with us over the years and I'm told she has recorded a greeting for us all boys on our final day so let's hear this this is one last time. For our wares and here is for Leon's mom. Hi my mind he even Smart. People aren't it and we fueled the bank. I haven't been like now for awhile aren't backed ballot that they had to add up. And it said you need me on the shows. Just called me and I'll be dead. Take K. Love her shoes graduate c'mon did you picks at knowing zero all about sports and just make picks in the funniest ways you spent heavily and she's drunk she's English and she's funny and those three things that we like to Valhalla. She loved doing it too was part of our Fam women that's why they are today casino when I first started. Didn't have the kids and now she's six she's four remain but used to grow when my mom watch in you guys write a so my mom sort of do and so it was some pleasure. Plays and do it Colombian is thanks anime that's a look at both you we do and don't Ford. And I think you're pressing you to look forward from that was recession. Drunken is that you're Hammergren your work on our show so I mean we're we're we appreciate that. Drunk right now mate don't Wear. I'm momma like son and a lot of high umbrella. You know the best it's been asked and Jim guy so we'll be right but I haven't we had so many great the members of the staff over the years any people who worked so hard. On the show for so long and it has and I mean I I think I know both of us take a lot of pride in the fact that. So many people worked that's worked with us for such a long time they did and I genuinely believe they had a good time I think goes on highlight the fact that they you know while we kept during the show they they moved on to bigger things you know they they they did they they elevated at. I say that is Bubba still sitting Jackson in a robe and awaited so I don't I don't know Obama really moved up. But the it doesn't always write everyone back I've generally speaking it has worked out very well and I'm so anyway 22 loss to everyone has worked on the show. I I tried I was thinking yesterday should put together realist and relays will leave people oh well so many people were cheers so hard to thank you to all of you who have worked with us and made us look and sound like we have some idea. What we're talking about we have much more to do here on this day. I'm all right and we are back here on Mike and Mike can we welcome the audience joining us now on ESPN as we are prepared to say goodbye for the final time. After eighteen years of sitting here on the show first. On ESPN radio which was where we were to be found for the first four years of our existence and then they put us on ESPN news. They moved us to ESPN two and a lot of things have happened since then. We were on before there was pardon the interruption. Before there was around the horn before there was first take which was previously called pizza and Iran before that. And through all of it we sat here we've done our best to try and make people. A little bit less miserable in their mornings and a if we have succeeded in that then we accomplish everything we needed we figured if if we laughed. Hopefully you laughed along with a Sen while trying to give you sports. Information and news in May be little info that can help with the water cooler that we knew we'd make you chuckle on your way to work as well. Couple events and things Campbell put together great list the show debuted January 2 of 2000. So we're looking at that time what was going on. In the country and the retired I'm really happy about this a number about the number one song at that time. She Santana song smoother assist a great tune meg could have been any song in an hour now to be one we both like a lot Jack rewrite a great song that number one film at the box office then was Stuart Little. You know the little mile side never sought out one I don't know I actually saw that one either I don't have kids yet at that time the average movie ticket cost five dollars and 39 cents home my lord. There's a number we will. This Mark Zuckerberg was fifteen.
