You let us on a Monday after the masters morning goal doing on ESPN radio and ESPN news we are presented by progressive insurance. Awful longest join us on the show opens all performance like Michael junior Jason fits tray we go we would view my goal is now inspired the big man is going to Baghdad GX seven. And just terror apart Monday after the Masters Tournament. Yes dads now on the airplane would Darius Rucker and the rest is the podium the blowfish gang there raises some good money. For some local charities around their blood off. Yet in the meantime gonna try and still maybe just spirit of Tiger Woods' meeting the winning the masters is an up coming guys to do you think they're now inspire the knowledge do that. But Dick's Sporting Goods around the world are being absolutely guarded for their reg short sleeved mock turtle lacks the boxer back command of the mocs are fully back do not rock. Are you should rock the market do not mock them that was the nineties is held yesterday CNET come back for tiger. This and that's what he warned 2005 when he won his last masters in 2005. He was wearing the exact same mock turtle like comet that great once again it was a moment on sixteen right it was a moment on sixteen and 2005 where did the unbelievable chip it up on long left. And then of course on sixteen in 2019 he almost flew open holes and out for warmth by the way our great researcher might doubt the nephew David Gordon. I've been eleven years between tiger's majors wins I put up a great trivia question which was. Of the longest drought between Super Bowls was twelve years between victories. On and it's he gave us a hint that it's not an active player so you think you might be somebody in the patriots now. It's Pamela taking guesses who might be here until mania. In Super Bowl rings is twelve years. Ray Lewis Super Bowl a 35 in Super Bowl. To bowl 47 by the way just for fun. A Super Bowl 35. Thirty by December in your final score in the we scored that game was kick return for the jackets. It looked at BP and the 3431. A beat the 49ers Joseph Flacco threw deep. Of anyway but the Tiger Woods hooked there was Ray Lewis was on the cover. Of the Madden video game in 2005 the last start Tiger Woods. When the masters and to Toledo to spread pretty amazing and kind of coincidence there with those twos so. I don't to show you how far it's one of those things that we do every time something like this comes up. It's you know how much is a loaf of bread and the price of gas that apple will let you guess they have always find fun because it's this. It's good why is that the go to you how much was bred how much was talked now a gap. Decision we all right we all know over old is when you start driving around you like I liken to get to gas here it's like four cents less on the street that's what and it happens for all of us and I am perpetually young because I've never thought about that wants to live and die. While Brad and I understand mustang that return I'm gone down the street and my may have five cents a gallon who call I would say I am very selective about my guess series there's great one right nearby campus by the super cheap I always Philip members of the real. Oh hell yeah c'mon man. The game. So the other. The other part of this as we debate four cents a gallon is not only was tiger the winner but how much did tiger the aura. Play into this because again at one point on the front side. He was down three to the best player in the world Francisco Molinari not by world golf rankings but the guy who was really. Been really really strong over the last twelve to thirteen months. And then four of the final six again they went off and groupings not pairings because of the weather. Four of the final six players to stride to the twelfth tee the most treacherous. Short hole golf I know some people say it's the island green at TPC. I think twelfth hole Augusta gold belt because it's the masters and everything that implies their goal it takes that mantle for me. For the final since six reinstate including Brooks kept up. Who was trying to win a fourth of his last seven majors including Francesco Molinari Tony female all these guys and Poulter they all dump it in the water. And then Tiger Woods doesn't so how much was the tiger effect on displayed or we occurs strange jobless earlier today and he says look. You can deny it but it's real. Those who said there wasn't an ever going to be any intimidation anymore or tiger effect. But I think they're wrong because. Just because they knew or know what he has done. In the way he carries himself tiger will always be intimidating just him partially because the way he carries himself he didn't speak a lot. He's big he's strong so. I have to think maybe just to touch. Especially playing with team. With treaty now in doubt Molinari but. In you look at the young kids and had a chance Patrick can't leave early faltered down the stretch awfully who played so well all weeklong. Didn't do it at the end. Molinari who is accomplished player didn't door at the end so what's the common denominator. Tiger Woods. By the way if you mr. interview with Curtis Strange what we've thinking go check out the entire for an interview on demand in the golden we go podcast. Brought you by the Capital One saver card and 4% cash back on dining and entertainment. 2% of grocery stores and 1% on all other purchases what's in your wall and were asking for your thoughts on this give us a call 8605065505. NTELOS. What you thought watching. Tiger win another major another masters eleven years after his last major championship and fourteen years after his last green jacket. So we all have our specific thoughts on that we're delighted to be joined now on the show pencil performance line. By our next guest who has some really personal thoughts I would imagine. Mobile we saw play out Sunday and that's notably yea. Off former up PGA tour professional works for the Golf Channel is a great jobless benefit those that don't know. Was a member of the Stanford University golf team with tiger and his roommate. At Stanford so noted just take this real quickly through the emotions you went through seeing what played out Sunday against. I tell you more about still hopes silicone Durham. Exchanged. Couple text early this morning with tigers just. You know just both of us just kind of looking back in and not really. Being able to comprehend what what actually happened and the union sound from this standpoint just. Trying to just. Focus on every single shot and the different strategy he employed. And also. Just the composure he demonstrated a mean that the patients he. Showed that the tent you know hit a poor drive pitched out end. You know didn't panic and it was just remarkable about watching as well how how has this guy's staying. So composed and so patient then. He just he just knows how little the masters. Unfolds then what happens in those last four or five holes especially with the thirteenth in the fifteenth hole being so. Accessible and birdies an eagle can happen on most holes so. There was some. You know who is a very. I guess special day for me just knowing what he had gone through it as a friend for. Over thirty years now. Was it an exceptionally happy for him. No it was there one particular shot yesterday where you realized he had it. I gather at one footer at eighteen I mean if you look. I've just seen you can't let you seemed so many disasters and Kenny Perry stood on the seventeenth tee with a two shot lead and he ended up losing. Tom Arnold Palmer Los two shot lead or lost the lead on the agent making a double blow yet. Did you establish the little thing using golf whenever you try to turn it especially the biggest tournaments you you're always gonna have to overcome. Some of your deepest darkest years as well as some of physical challenges there was little mud on the ball off the eighteen he had so. He dispute in the air people wonder why I don't why did he didn't so far right so our shortcut. That's where they Ingle has to chip for the third shot so his second child was actually. Set up to hit the third shot because he knew he had a creation and I'm standing on seventeen green. He didn't hear the big roar. I'm on the eighteenth green which would have been kept that he would have made the cut so he knew exactly where he stood. I'm going into that last hole and ended exactly what he had either this squeak it out by shot. Part of notre gamma shell Pennzoil performance on our goal of a while ago. How much did the idea of him having to come from behind in this round knowing that. In his major history that it always been something eluded him how much did that weigh on you and how much do you think he notices and has been aware of that over the years. We'll tell you what the interesting thing. When you would turn in every single person. Mother the major or regular PGA tour event. A couple things have to fall in your favor now what this early start at Augusta National. I went live yesterday due to avoid the weather. They put that the groups and in threesome. And K historically it. They would have played Houston tiger would have been in the next to last group not a lot screw and so what it allowed him to do it to you right there with Molinari all day and I Ukraine into pocket all day. And that was a big break. Because. You all know I think you just talk a little bit about it you know tiger effect is not as there are intimidating as it used to be but it still exist. And especially if he gets a little bit of momentum like start to get. She made the turn made those. Those those birdies until it can make up for some of the mistakes in their early in the round then it was just. A good break for him. But I don't really think. Coming from behind. Was it was a big factor has I don't particularly on the first Siegel a lot ever done this or before I think. He just had a lot of things working Foreman. In talking agent this morning he just. You know he hit a lot pure golf shot and most of what you say whether tiger or whoever you have to hit golf shots to win we need to turn it into that's exactly dead. Nota begay Willis Golf Channel analysts and of course tigers teammate and roommate at Stanford University. You mentioned that big shots noted to me there were no bigger shots for tiger in the tee shot on fifteen and followed that up with the tee shot on sixteen. Because you knew with what was going on in front of from birdie at worst is what he needed to make it fifteen. And just to follow that up with a heart of the green shot over there and then almost a sit out on sixteen to me that's. At that point. What I started to think oh my god he actually made news. Iraq had started to become real I mean actually got a little choked up when he locked opposite team green just the right. This is real likely to let you know my. Lou I was. You're watching it by myself I don't know for whatever reason I just was like this might actually happen I mean. And you just don't want to think the worst but I. It's just there's so many factors going against you when you get him. 43 in the end you're dealing with all the scar tissue that that tiger's tell us throughout its career but it just. A reflection on. His heart and his will and his determination he's doing things now that. Neither one of us thought he was capable when I mean you know within a few years ago actress second surgery and he literally couldn't get out of the chair on a walk in the front door he couldn't get monetary union. It was just you know to see what he's doing now on the power that he has been the placement like you said you know look this. The tee shot at fifteen is just absolutely critical the end you put it all the way on the right side we had a perfect angle only have to deal would get to sing in the air and make sure there wasn't short and outplayed the safe side of the holy just and it technically able wonderful interview. After the round yesterday just that tiger played so some of the smartest golf than he's ever seen. And that's just I think how I think that's what you gonna keep moving forward. In the past we saw this dominant tiger winning by 567. Shots in his previous fourteen majors the average margin of victory was right around. Just under court shot to about what about three point eight shots her victory. And you what you guys know you only have to win these things by one so. He's got a little margin for error and I think you he's gonna start. Factory on a regular basis. Aren't noted damage shell Pennzoil performance I'm we talk so much about tiger the player obviously would. Tiger the human being in the man is someone that we gotten over the years in the highs and the view lows. That have been part of what we've seen as the public is well. You know him as well as you did how much did having his family there having his kids there right after that embrace we saw. How much did that matter to him in the scale scope of all us. Well I was a big part of the motivations. Over the last few years in the sense that. Sitting down with his kids. You know Charlie and Sam I'm Charlie Lowe's car owns them or soccer. At that time away for injuries. He's he's talked about in this game a window to beat. To be a dad to be a participant and puke actively engage in those activities with this kid yeah I think. Is allowed in there really mature and grow as a person to understand that there's a lot. Greater figure in the lives in winning golf tournaments. And so what they've built in here this is deeper appreciation and then. To approach. There's. Game of golf where a lot of gratitude. I think that's the Tiger Woods you're seeing now in the preached is gracious. Person that. This is having a lot more refined. And he used to house up there winning wasn't fun the target you really enjoyed it but it was done. Now you realize is that there's just so much more outside of golf that is giving him but still let. And you and you saw it and he walked off the eighteenth tee he hugged. Charlie had so it was so happy and so proud to have his father there. Doing what he did isn't Sam. Just wouldn't let go over that at the end but as he walked into the scoring tent. You saw all the players there I mean there was tolerant Bubba Watson and Bernhard Langer and just. A whole host of different players from different generations of keys bill all these new relationships in the last three or four years that didn't exist. Eleven years ago. Yes and he alluded to it after the win basically saying both Charlie and Sam where there are Carnoustie when I had the lead Sunday at the open and I couldn't. Clothes that I didn't wanna do that to them again he wanted to win that went for them nota. I add that to me we were trying to have a reasonable conversation about this moment and what it also means moving ports are without keeping expectations on continual championships. What do you think is a reasonable expectation moving forward for tiger on the on the golf course. Then after yesterday I don't know what's reasonable anymore I mean obviously it's perfectly. I really don't. You know five years ago I owned in the tiger practicing area yes you how much is shaping when he was going to chipping struggles then. He's due to expose Darren and mr. green from ten feet short cuts. Get all of that back into the body back in the swing back in the game he built his swing on his own he doesn't have a truck there I know that he is who utilizes a lot when he learned from Chris Cuomo are chuck Foley that. I just I don't know what's real anymore practiced this guy just continues to use surpassed any. Projections. Over limitations that that I have ever tried to play some and then I've had some pretty high expectation that this guy this. This exceeds everything but. Going back in in a month I think you're gonna see him start Wells Fargo. I think that might be its first went back and get ready for the PGA championship but I really think the way the schedule has changed as we have a major event every year starting with the players. Is gonna really help when he's going to be able Iraq's. Gonna go to Wells Fargo. Get prepped up for the PGA and into the PGA where he's won before then you can take a few weeks are we wanted to go to the US open or he's won before being. There's not to say that he couldn't win I wouldn't put it past the win the next three. While nota begay with us out again longtime friend gave him the nickname Merkel when they were at Stanford via by the way I got another one of your players available. You know exactly you season all the time those big Coke bottle glasses and was as good as the Penn. So listen you you sort of alluded to a couple of times here and I think you're you're helping shed light on this topic for a lot of people don't understand. Just how far down he was mean we're talking about four back surgeries. Since two when he thirteen. Can you give us some sort of perspective of what he was at his worst. Physically just how far he was away from what we saw yesterday and where he wasn't wondering if you would ever be able to swing a club again. Well again that first visit I had give I want it to. I've I've had a couple surgeries myself just on my knees at both buddies were on. And so I know what it feels like could be could be laid out. In your house which you know not much to do when you used to being active in training every day and so you know when it first it is up after that tickets are urging him not being able to get out of it's very much gas he has made up. A drive there we had to go pick kids up from school and I couldn't. Couldn't get to the car under his own power you know how to help well get out of the chair I mean literally help them like I mean I was. More than just OK here's my hand I mean I was I had to brace myself to support. A whole lot of his way and then. I don't know if you remember that. That great. Footage of some of Kellen Winslow wac you know getting. Getting pummeled carried off the field after that are still asking mirror that net down Miami outsource to -- likening his arm was that was around here I had a hand on it around his waist and I was you know literally every step was I wouldn't move without him at first it. Helping him get into the car in the united cops on the elderly people in my family like you know late. Like an 85 year old man that you know had that need to you know I could. I don't really be careful very fragile and it was not that time. Which was. I don't know I don't know little hard time for the Nikkei this is this who the person that has has done everything that. Possible with a golf course dinner and dance. And just get so many wonderful things and no we drilled down magnolia lane together in 1995 it was so early tiger I was there just fortunate enough to sort of be invited him. You know go with permanent. Via a server and and now. We were I was looking at the end and I it was just very. You know serial tablet experience because I didn't want to believe it. They apparently. And I wanted to and anyone and at least for a couple years as he decided they want it to start playing again after this fusion. And got routine and once the pain was gone and he he can actually make a better assessment on whether he could. Do what it takes to play top level golf. And we saw yesterday. He can do it again because he did it again and auto we appreciate you being with the support thanks for the insights really remarkable story thanks so much man. Got patron I mean Hillary did. He's got a notary yeah it was a real insightful things into where tiger was it just in terms of his physical ability to trying function as a human being let alone. Well walk forties that are very hilly course and guests and come away as masters champion by the way speaking of golf slightly lower level. Jordan played all the mustered up the golden wing go Twitter feed. To see how you could edit the front nine of the winkle cup for we say front nine for a reason folks because we got good stuff coming all summer long the full rules. Our general bio on the court and we go Twitter page and again. Give us a call 8605065505. We wanna hear your reactions to what you saw from Tiger Woods on Sunday so it was a big win for tiger big win for golf. Was also big loss for somebody. Spring can never make up its mind we know that that is a fact one day feels like summer's just around the corner the next. It feels like winner never left those kind of temperature changes are not easy on your car's engine. That's why you need protection you know you can trust so. Based on and sequence IBA where tests using SA five W thirty. Looking to build the deck. Think tracks is out of your price range it will not you should take a second look at that number one name and outdoor living room. Because the latest decade from tracks is engineered for the DI wire. And price to put the pressure on treated lumber and plus it comes with a 25 years fade in state Warren team and that's something would can't promise so if you wanna bring the superior performance and durability of tracks to your backyard and visit Trex dot com Ford now plans an end to order samples. Glad you're well this goal akin going go ESPN radio and ESPN news presented by progressive insurance. A fungus join us on the show opens old performance line Michael junior Jason fits in with us trailing go nearest. Michael Wood senior the big man is out there are trying his Tiger Woods impression today at the Monday after the masters pack in an opera is the exact opposite of what tiger did yesterday so hopefully dead just some justice to that report gives him an all timer we've. I think all kind of its been saying the same thing over the last couple days this is gone on his. This is a performance that will be a marker for a lot of people the way tiger's career overall has been. Eight times stamp for so many people's lives as. And that's part of it I don't that you that I expected as somebody that has been a squarely on the I don't think he's gonna when other masters train or another tournament like this. I was obviously wrong he wins the masters and it turns into a where were you when moment I mean I think that's the the biggest take away from yesterday's for so many people that say I was here at this moment watching with my kids it became something that transcend its. Ports yesterday what was listen it was. It was in the Twitter or social media age is was at the thing was at the moment so far the you can think of in terms it's its sports related. I would think so yeah and I just feel that way right like. This whole thing and sharing it would all these people are putting these things out there. This sort of communal thing that we all got together to watch and sports perspective. If it's if it's I mean I wanna make your robbed a victim of recent C bias here but. I'm trying to think of some of them might have had that same impact in this age it's a struggle to come up though the one that I come opened this Phelps going for the gold record the record I'm most at the Summer Olympics I think individual performances tend to just dollar ties everybody together especially the Olympics because it's you know much. Country yes exactly having country involved in a put. I think the added element of social media is one that's harder or and it's so interesting with tiger because. We didn't have oil we are going through this with tiger the first go round. And so getting to take all I could really ask that question wooded Twitter been around for the ninety's bulls are for those ninety's cowboys of ninety's cowboys will prove. Would've suffered suffered a lot but I couldn't have voted that are absolutely book we would have had so much to go off of and so being there for big sports moments now with the community thing. As much as it was yesterday seeing people out at restaurants all huddled around TVs pricey pictures itself from the Detroit airport I think. A people horrible around TVs in those airport terminals. You saw the physical community but we all got to experience it together on social media. And being able to transplant what was Tiger Woods without that in to the world now with that I thought was cool for the crowd there always is Maine could you imagine. If we had social media for X wires he's. Portable I think that's where twitters that it's best like rhythm part of the reason that people put off put footers that realistically when you have these great moments it brings the world together watching these things is sports or anything else like. It's a chance for everybody to feel like they're sharing in this one phenomenons together that's where it's winner. Like you're willing to put up with all of the ignorance comes on Twitter to get these little moments there that special admit they're that sort of unified. Are they absolutely are by the way speaking of unifying. Some of casinos are. Said that they've been unified in this one group because tigers were to rewrote unified against them so do you feel free to read these stats because it is and the house loses. I take great pride in this because they usually win against Alessio what emotions eleven because the house never loses right at one time it does in you need to bed bigger you're never gonna make a death. So last Tuesday one better. At a William LUS sports book at SOS casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada placed 85 grand. On tiger to win a fourteen to one odds it was the first bet ever placed by customer William Hill. Campbell pay out one the first bet it was the best per ever play by that caused that customer got you amble payout one point 19 million. The largest single gulf ticket. In the company's history in the U almost is much the purse is tiger read in the tournament it's incredible it's believed to be the fourth seven figure pay out on a bet. At the William milieu a sports book. The previous three were on the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl 52 against the patriots. Manuel ran a promotion for its one million meg eagle daily fantasy contest for the masters that refunded entry fees for every contestant of woods won. Even of woods wasn't in their lineup. Then you'll have more than two million winnings and promotional refunds from its one million mega Eagleton while not so bad. So the other thing we're asking and we asked people call in and they have responded. Ought is what it means you could we also to share what it meant to us her with Curtis Strange John. Michael Collins notably gay. Andy North was a drop by would do us some perspective so we wanted to know what it mean to you. Watching tiger again and thanks to you guys again usual always do you've gone through and in in in buckets here here. Is a somebody saying hey. This for him was a father son moment. Penetrating or is targeted with get without question who's let your goal got you as well be the article about tiger and of course the years and years and at Phoenix. And really great deal here that I would like done graffiti excellence and that comes from our minds. You are sort of a prosecutor tiger so I figure that out. And that's the thing you wonder how many guys are doing. This is what I was telling you about right that was the thing it's fright so many Phillips so many of the generational conversations we have in sports. Are what do you think this guy's great album back then we got in the Asia Owens so play. You got to Scherer you're so and so with that next group it was such a match point that's a good it was for that for the guys on tour also we talked with the young players on tour. I think it's kinda easy times to explain it away and say. All that guys all that washed up he gets close to that neighbor Tommy takes you so those big shots you're talking about finally hit. Put everyone notice all bets whatever when dealt with on sending this so long. It also wasn't appear like it was in the world of that and I've been talking about it wasn't one of those moments where at the end of an NBA career and MBA at an event NFL career where that person looks so different is now you know and you're on to Blake pudgy Michael Jordan it wasn't battered I like it's it's still. The tigers sort of being the tiger that so many of us draw upon I think that's Parnell made a special whether or somebody else is treated in this is a good one there's Twitter age moment LeBron down 31 and winning that championship Cleveland that would that would be certainly that was deal as well served. And then of course we're arm eleven year old about a 64 year old who couldn't stop crying after seeing what happened with tiger. And come from Richmond Virginia yesterday darker. Moved me to tears. Having watched the wide world sports. As a kid on Saturday afternoon Tutu you get a steady. He scored off an important here to an article saying it was really. So that's the sort of spectrum we're talking about here right and then there were people that were actually there at the masters and got a chance to experience including Stephanie. If Kennedy tragedy African theater. I have and I regret the math here over the weekend at least Rivera he called Tiger Woods putted and has all the way it and it was great the ID and aren't absolutely. Memorable weekend that artwork ever forget. Battles and a lot of people are gonna forget where they were aware of when this went down on a lot of how many people are doing it I mean note no discredit to Stephanie but there's everybody out there like I was at the yeah 100% that's like feel like you would both shameless scored a lot of points it was done actually in Hershey Pennsylvania in an arena that seats like 2000 people. 70000 people claim there rapid unedited and only give more details they're closer to the pin overtime is exactly and so again that's the part of it again. With the wind is another there the similarities with Jack or credible for a lot of reasons. But now tiger joins Jack as the only two players to win masters in three different decades Jack did it. In the 60s70s and eighties tiger did it in the ninety's the thoughts. And now believe the last year the teams the 2010 so it's just something else. Coming up we know who won the weekend but can tiger win even more weekends. When tracking the domestic doesn't make you come to find them hiding from the war group's next to a loss sucks to do to the sudden he won't tell us scurrying. What's the fascinating about the money does that hold food I'm not actually sentient creatures. I go doing go here with you presented by the resident turns our thanks to Claire Smith who do a great job with cleft doing all those rejoins for Jackie Robinson day in Major League Baseball play and what that means going forward. Also big day in Boston today you got patriots day which means the Red Sox are playing almost the running of the Boston Marathon. Among the many people running in the Boston Marathon are Tedy Bruschi doing it to raced I found out funds for Ted he's team is foundation that helps people with strokes. And we bring that in because you brought it up earlier that Teddy coming back from a stroke to play in the NFL against the patriots in getting to a Super Bowl. Although now winning it consumable forty twos are would have been a comebacks or Motorola soft and Tiger Woods with his physical abilities with the. Act of death actual everything that goes along with that and it's sort of the way it frames like for you like I'm sure there's a moment after all that work your refocus on all the things are important and today and decide all right not only your sports still. Important enough for me to pursue but I can come back and find a way to pursue read that same level uzis and beyond inspire I think. That's part of why yesterday was so moving. Were people I also think you have to realize how how high the peak is bad for tiger and how hide the perspective is on tiger how much everybody's watching all of that sued to have seen him go from such a high to such a low. This is what we love him in society we love the redemption story to bounce back and so to go from such amount to such a valley. And then to win the masters I think that's why I resonated so much what they're there's so many layers to this and again part of this is what tiger was not these he's got to deal with when he was at his peak let's just be honest about that you know. What's the what's old gold enrolled. He who has the gold makes makes the rules and he decided to play by his own rules and a lot of people harbored a lot of resentment about that with him there's no question about it. But when you see a guy so publicly. Exposed. For everything that went on. Are you his own failings that the physics talent he just breaking a we had notably gay on talk images this guy couldn't walk from a chair to his car. To see him come back to a to get to that mountain top it's it's it's a story me and there's no way around that and again we've had people calling in all all morning talking about it and this said this person going in basically saying three generations. Of tiger phantom now. Yeah I remember watching and I tiger won his first. Championship in 97 I was sitting at Bagram caught. It was a huge golf parent G absolutely loved golf central and turn them I would not in the gulf. I was surprisingly enough she died four years ago Thursday that started in masters comes Sunday. Eighteenth hole. My daughter's sitting on my lap or finishing watching. That last hole and there was there's surreal moment that I wore a grip on the 97 an hour here and you know my daughter watching it and just it was a touching moment utter hatred injustice in general but you're. And I think that's the human relations because I think because he was here and was what he was. And then he fell so far and came back I find that this version of tiger is much more relatable people. And even beyond that I think we. Maybe gave up on that Hewlett redemption is relatable to tiger's not relatable I mean he's relatable because of that stuff bush. As you mentioned there he was adored guy we know what we don't know him personally enough to know tiger is different or changed. A sub money don't treat this as it. Nothing displays America's collective ability to compartmentalize quite like to Tiger Woods' victory really don't really like this do but this feels amazing because we don't need to like you many more we realize we can respect the hell out of what he does. As a golfer what his comeback allows us to feel what it shows about what's possible sports all the big things that matter to what it. And I'll go back to what you just said I think it's a redemption part of it you know it's easy not to be able to relate to somebody that was created something is alive worked it worked his tail off of some think. And digital element nobody can ever sort of understand it I think when you see somebody falloff that purse. It becomes sort of natural to allied with him as they try and at and rebuild whatever that life is and that's we've seen not just. From a personal life standpoint but from a physical standpoint is that to have broken through all that. The sort of blockade that were front of him I think that's what everybody can everybody feels like they've had that that moment. And notably gay who joined us earlier from the Golf Channel former tour player and again tigers teammate and roommate at Stanford talked about the relationships he has now. With his family and players on tour that he never really had before he's coming at it from a different perspective I think he understands. The relationship part of this as much as anything else and and that's something that's different Tiger Woods 2.0. Or X 3.4 point oh at this point right yet what version of beat Tiger Woods like reassembled cyborg is this. So the question then becomes and a gamble continue this throughout the spring and summer because were in the stretch of five great months of a huge golfing events. What we see it again this year we got Bethpage at the PGA next month and then we've got Pebble Beach the US open in June. I think so just because of how competent tiger was going into this weekend yeah you need the validation of this weekend in his mind to believe he is capable he said. Look at how close I've been in the last year's majors I've been right on the door of this so I think that competence being the foundation gives me competence of it absolutely I think so much of our conversation of how he resist getting to the edge it was about a mental block when he's broken through that blocked at this point. There's absolutely nothing to hold them back and the other part of that mental block is the other players seem him do this let's be honest all those guys like all Yemen tiger was great that's why I got into this but. I can hang with us now I mean he can't do the things we do well UCK and and he took down two of the best in the world billion on Sunday yet we always talk about the difference when you see games speedway right jump Koppel level from high school to college or college or pro. Those guys saw tiger it true games speed masters speed again. And that's got to be pretty wild thing to see up close last year Francesco Molinari said no at the open to tiger. At the PGA Brooks kept a said no to tiger. At the PGA. And when his fifteenth. Tiger walked away and dusted both of those guys coming up much more tigers went Tuesday what Jake is Red Sox and NBA playoffs sick. And now I thought from Geico motorcycle it took. Fifteen minutes to click on the banner ad entitled you won't believe what these trials stars look like now. Be dissatisfied and kind of sad about how the child stars look and now your computer is plagued by incessant pop up ads can't. To add insult injured you could review those fifteen click it meant a switcher motorcycle insurance to Geico. Guys got. Fifteen minutes could save you 15% or more on motorcycle insurance.
